Non Surgical Weight Loss

Non Surgical Weight Loss

non surgical weight lossIt has been said that Americans are obsessed with food and diets. We have gotten away from healthfully prepared meals at home and prefer, instead, to indulge on convenience foods. It is much easier to grab a greasy burger through a fast food window than it is to plan out meals for ourselves and our families.

As a result of convenience and overeating, America’s weight has gotten out of control. When you are finally ready to take a pro-active approach to your weight loss, it is easy to become overwhelmed with the number of choices out there. You may decide to go it alone, taking on the first crash diet that seemed to work for so many other women. You may have even lost a few pounds yourself, only to find that you gained it back, plus a few more, along the way. Weight loss can be difficult when you do it alone. That is why finding the proper support is essential to weight loss success.

What is Carolina Women’s Health’s approach to weight loss support?

At Carolina Women’s Health we believe that obesity is a very complex disease. We believe that you don’t have to live life with chronic diseases like diabetes, heart failure, and cancer. We aim to meet the challenge of obesity with treatment based on a patient’s specific medical history and current health conditions.

Weight loss should never be a one-size-fits-all program. We work with you as an individual to find out about your lifestyle, teach you how to make healthy eating choices, provide the proper supplements that work for your unique physical composition, and offer you a supportive team of people who want to see you reach your goals.

What does the weight loss support program provide?

Here is a taste of what we have to offer in our weight loss support program:

Meal Plan: Our meal plans emphasize healthy eating without severe calorie restrictions, encouraging freedom to make intelligent food choices. You will re-learn how to do your food shopping and create meals that are nourishing without leaving you feeling hungry.

Exercise: An exercise routine with activity recommendations based on your body composition and physical abilities. You no longer have to fit in an exercise routine that you don’t enjoy or your body finds to be more painful than beneficial. We will work with you to make movement fun and exciting again.

Supplements: When medically appropriate, FDA-approved appetite suppressants and vitamin injections can be added, based on the patient’s medical history or preference.

How do I enroll in this weight loss program?

The first step to achieving your weight loss goals is coming in for an initial consult. One of our providers will give you a thorough medical examination. Lab evaluations may be ordered. Your personal medical and nutrition history will be reviewed. This is your time to discuss any medical issues that may be interfering with your current weight loss goals. Prescription appetite suppressants may be added if considered to be safe and beneficial to your treatment.

How often do I come in for weight loss support?

You can expect to check in with your provider every four weeks. Your provider will do a thorough meal plan review to see how well you are sticking to your general plan. This is the time to discuss what is working for you and what needs to be altered. You will also receive ongoing weight loss tips to overcome plateaus, vitamin injections, medications and/or supplement review or renewal.
